The compass arrow seems wrong or is spinning erratically

Make sure you are outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Move away from metal structures, vehicles, or magnetic phone cases. Allow 10–20 seconds after opening the app for GPS and compass hardware to stabilize.

My distance isn’t going down as I walk

Confirm you are walking in the direction the bearing arrow is pointing — not toward north. The arrow always points toward your saved spot relative to the direction you are facing. Also verify the correct spot is selected by checking the spot name at the top of the screen.

I can’t find my saved spot in the list

Spots are stored locally on your device. If you recently reinstalled the app or restored from a backup, spots from before the reinstall may not be present. Spots cannot be recovered once the app is deleted.

GPS accuracy seems poor

GeoReturn is designed for outdoor use. GPS accuracy degrades significantly indoors, in parking garages, and in dense urban canyons. Move outdoors to an open area and wait for the accuracy reading to improve before marking or navigating.

GeoLog isn’t launching GeoReturn

Ensure both apps are updated to their latest versions. GeoLog V2.1 or later is required for GeoReturn integration. Try closing and fully relaunching GeoLog if the Navigate with GeoReturn button is grayed out.

GeoReturn isn’t asking for location permission

Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → GeoReturn and set access to While Using the App or Always. Without location permission the app cannot function.
